Schedule Fukkers Win Finals And Are RSHL S39 Champions!

After an intense, grueling three-game sweep, Schedule Fukkers have cemented themselves as the Season 39 Blackie Cup Champions! They took down The High Road in an exciting and strategic final game, winning 3-2, and securing their place in RSHL history.

A huge congratulations to the Schedule Fukkers on their dominant performance throughout the season and playoffs!

Game 3 Recap: The Final Battle

1st Period: A Defensive Chess Match

Both teams came into Game 3 knowing what was at stakeโ€”for Schedule Fukkers, it was their chance to clinch the championship, while The High Road had to win to stay alive. From the first drop of the puck, it was clear that this was going to be a defensive war.

High Road dominated possession early, keeping Schedule Fukkers pinned in their own zone and forcing multiple turnovers. However, Azuline in Javelin and Linix in net held the line, refusing to give High Road an easy goal.

Despite the defensive gridlock, a fortunate (or accidental?) moment for High Road broke the deadlock:

(5:36) Goal โ€“ The High Road: Doobie

  • Image and Vigilanty zig-zagged through the Fukkersโ€™ defense, pulling off a series of sharp passes before both were obliterated in the chaos.
  • The puck bounced free, and Doobieโ€”who may have accidentally shot while trying to clear spaceโ€”sent the puck right underneath a shocked Linix, catching him off guard.
  • It was ugly but effective, and The High Road took a 1-0 lead.

2nd Period: The Counterattack Begins

High Road came out aggressive, continuing their pressing attack, but cracks started to show. As they couldn’t find an opening in the Fukkers’ defense, they began turning over the puck unnecessarily. When SF recovered possession, CMDROS looked shaky at times with a few mistimed passes, but all in an effort to create opportunities. Jack became an absolute defensive fortress during this period, killing Image and Lawn Dwarf repeatedly, shutting down multiple scoring chances.

Meanwhile, Schedule Fukkers’ strategy became clear: control the puck, drain the clock, and force High Road to overextend. Linix was more than just a goalieโ€”he was a 6th skater, passing and cycling with his teammates in their half of the arena to keep possession and frustrate High Road.

And then, the equalizer:

(6:45) Goal โ€“ Schedule Fukkers: Azuline

  • Bacon (Weasel) slipped past Doobie (Terrier) with a quick give-and-go that confused Doobie as he attempted to go for the ballkill. Bacon then sped into open space.
  • Bacon spotted Azuline (Javelin) cutting north, delivered the puck, and Azulineโ€™s first shot was blocked by Degeโ€”but Azuline immediately destroyed Dege and scored on the rebound.
  • A textbook โ€œkill and shootโ€ goal.

With the game tied, Schedule Fukkers’ strategy appeared to be working.

Their patience paid off again just a few minutes later:

(3:30) Goal โ€“ Schedule Fukkers: Kara Thrace (Assisted by CMDROS, Azuline)

๐Ÿšจ High Road 1 – 2 Schedule Fukkers

  • High Road, desperate to regain the lead, pushed aggressively, leaving gaps in their defense.
  • CMDROS connected with Kara Thrace, who found herself semi-alone ahead of most of the High Road players, only having to go against Dege who was covering the passing lane and potential fade/cut.
  • However, to everyone’s surprise Kara fired a quick snipe to the north post, catching a sleepy Zeppelin off guard, who reacted too lateโ€”and just like that, Schedule Fukkers took the lead.

3rd Period: The Last Stand

With their season on the line, The High Road made a drastic change:

๐Ÿ’ฅ Doobie switched to Leviathan, aiming to bulldoze through the Schedule Fukkers’ defense.
๐Ÿ’ฅ Jack, countering this, also switched to Leviathanโ€”setting up a true battle of the titans.

High Road dominated the first half of the period, turning the game into a brutal, chaotic slugfest. Image in Javelin and Doobie in Levi repeatedly launched battering ram attacks, a strategy reminiscent of the old ITF squad (Interference). Carnage ensued, with exploding ships all over the place and the puck being traded off and on between the survivors.

But Jack was an immovable wall, destroying High Roadโ€™s offensive waves and keeping Linix protected with his rapid fire bullets in levi. A defensive behemoth.

With High Road throwing everything at them, they left defensive gaps in the back, allowing Schedule Fukkers to strike back with what might be the goal of the playoffs:

(4:10) Goal โ€“ Schedule Fukkers: Kara Thrace (Assisted by Azuline, Bacon)

๐Ÿšจ High Road 1 – 3 Schedule Fukkers

  • Kara faked a retreat, turning as if to kill timeโ€ฆ then immediately reversed direction, catching both Dege and Doobie completely off guard.
  • She squeezed through them, dodged a shot from Doobie, and went one-on-one against Zeppelin.
  • Zeppelin bit on her fake, moving down to cover the post, but Kara slid the puck northโ€”a perfect finish.

๐Ÿ’€ A brutal dagger to High Roadโ€™s hopes.

Even with only 27 seconds left, High Road did not quit:

(0:27) Goal โ€“ The High Road: Image (Assisted by Lawn Dwarf, Doobie)

๐Ÿšจ High Road 2 – 3 Schedule Fukkers

  • Lawn Dwarf found Image cutting north, past a complacent Fukkers’ defense, and he sniped it past Linix.
  • The crowd gaspedโ€”could they tie it up in the last 27 seconds?!

The final moments were pure chaos, with Doobie slamming into defenders, trying to create a miracle. But Schedule Fukkers held firm, passing the puck back to Linix, who held it until the final buzzer.

And with that, Schedule Fukkers were Blackie Cup Champions! ๐Ÿ†๐ŸŽ‰

Congratulations to both teams for entering the final phase of this competition.

๐Ÿ† Congratulations to the Schedule Fukkers! ๐ŸŽ‰

With a dominant playoff run, an impenetrable defense, and clutch goaltending from Linix, Schedule Fukkers are your Season 39 Blackie Cup Champions.

A bittersweet ending for The High Road, as many of their veteran players (including Lawn Dwarf and Image) retired after the match. They graciously congratulated Schedule Fukkers in-game, before exiting the Discord server, marking the end of an era for LD and BG.

(Side note: I think BG deleted all of his messages from Discord before he left. LD also has cut ties to other discord servers he was on with teammates.)

Looking Ahead to Season 40

With new teams rising and veterans stepping away, who will challenge for the Blackie Cup next season?

Will the Schedule Fukkers defend their title?
Will new players step up and change the league for the better?

One thing is for sureโ€”RSHL never disappoints!

See you all in Season 40! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ”ฅ
