The MSHL is expanding once again, and I am thrilled to announce the release of our newest feature: The Ambassador System! This “DLC” is all about recognizing and empowering the players who have gone above and beyond to connect Hockey Zone with the broader Subspace Continuum community. Get ready to meet the liaisons, the unsung heroes who help grow our league.
What is the Ambassador System?
The Ambassador System is designed to honor players who have a history of bringing new players into Hockey Zone from other Subspace zones. These Ambassadors act as newbie shepherds, guiding players into our community and helping them find their footing.
Ambassadors will:
- Be recognized in a dedicated section of RSHL.org
- Serve as points of contact for any questions about recruiting players from other zones.
- Invite new players into the Zone from other Subspace/Continuum zones.
- Act as role models and mentors to new players, ensuring they feel welcome and supported.
New Discord Role and Channel
To keep the Ambassador System running smoothly, we’ll be introducing the following on Discord:
- A new MSHL Ambassador role, visible to the entire community, to highlight these players’ contributions.
- A private Ambassador Channel, exclusively for Ambassadors, where they can coordinate efforts and report on new players they’ve invited to the zone.
This role and channel will allow us to track recruitment efforts, celebrate successes, and provide direct support to Ambassadors as they help grow our community.
How Do We Reward Ambassadors?
While recognition is a key part of this system, we want to ensure Ambassadors feel appreciated for their efforts. Here are some ideas for rewards:
- Discord Roles/Badges: Unique roles or badges displayed in our Discord. Custom icons for our Ambassadors to highlight them as contributors among the community.
- Website Section: Be listed in the Ambassador Hall on RSHL.org
- League Shoutouts: Regularly highlight Ambassadors in announcements or blogs.
- In-game Recognition: Name will be listed on the basic MSHL map for all to see.
